The Messina Nymph crossed from her wide barrier (11) to race on the quarters of the leader It’s Poets Day. She enjoyed an easy time in the middle stages of the race before quickening up smartly on straightening, four horses off the fence. She found plenty in the concluding stages, drawing away to score with plenty in reserve. Cradle Me came from sixth on the fence. She came between runners back towards the fence at the 250m and stayed on gamely for a non threatening second. The favourite Anaina enjoyed a nice run on the back of the leader. She found little in the straight to finish seventh.
