An exciting finish with Bel Sprinter and Miracles Of Life dead-heating for first with Shamal Wind only a short head away in third place. Bel Sprinter demonstrated better barrier behavior beginning quite well before easing to settle towards the tail of the field, between runners. He looked for a run rounding the home turn, got through to sixth at the 200m and then finished fast to grab a last-stride dead-heat result. Miracles Of Life began nicely from her good barrier (4) and improved along the rails to be third. She then continued to make ground along the rails to share the lead at the 600m and then drew to a clear lead at the 200m. She fought gallantly from that point only be caught right on the post, putting up a smart first-up performance for her new connections. Shamal Wind was more handily placed today and settled in sixth spot, three wide with cover. She switched deep on straightening and then ran on in good style for a very close third.
