Team Hawkes-trained mare Euro Angel is now the winner of three races, without missing a place in six starts and she stepped up to score her first stakes race in good style here. She settled nicely in eighth place, one off the rails, tracked up well from the 600m, sprinted quickly to take the lead at the 100m and she then drew away to win impressively. The Matthew Dale-trained mare Rocket Commander had a good trip in third place, was briefly held up in the straight before getting along the inner from the 100m. She then battled on nicely for a good second. Antelucan worked in the early stage to lead, held the front until nearing the 100m and held on to take a sound third. Serene Majesty was midfield on the rails and ran on well in the latter stages for (2.7 lengths) fourth while Alaskan Rose was also midfield, but deep, went wide at the home turn to challenge at the 200m and then battled on for a sound (2.9 lengths) fifth.
