The number two barrier allowed rider Jake Noonan to get Prussian Vixen away quickly and within the first 100m they took up the pace. Noonan sat quietly around the bend and when they straightened for the run home he still had not moved. Inside the 300m he gave the mare a shake and she responded. Inside the 200m he gave her a reminder and driving for the line, held her together to just outlast Silent Sedition, who was back of midfield (one out) down the side but had to wait for clear running in the straight. At the 200m she emerged and then rattled home over the last 50m, but just a shade too late. Ameristralia was three wide in sixth approaching the last corner, got to second at the 100m but could hold out Silent Sedition. Thames Court was three wide turning in, challenged but was outgunned in the run home.
