Arabian Gold made it three Group wins in succession and her eighth win from 17 starts with an easy victory. She was perfectly ridden by Blake Shinn who settled her nicely in a good spot, eighth one off the rails. She moved up wide rounding the home turn, cruised up to take the lead at the 200m and won comfortably by a length and a quarter. Tinto was sixth, one off the rails, switched out nearing the turn but took a while to wind up, gradually picking up from the 200m. She then ran on quite well for a good second and should appreciate stepping up in distance. Tornado Miss led the field, setting an average pace (first 1400m 1:28.17). She grabbed a break coming to the home turn and held that advantage until the 200m point. She then battled on to take third, beaten two and a half lengths. Sister Souss kept plugging on quite well from ninth at the 600m to finish fourth. Outsider Rosey Joan battled on for fifth while the NZ filly Rock Diva did well running on resolutely from 13th at the turn to finish sixth at her Australian debut, looking suited to further. *ANZ
