Top class mare Streama won her fourth Group One race in good style. She began well and raced close to the pace before Blake Shinn eased her to give her a perfect trip in third place on the rails. She was full of running nearing the turn and then got a split to challenge on straightening. She hit he lead at the 100m and proved too good to win by three quarters of a length. It was a good performance and also an excellent ride. Leebaz soon crossed to take the lead. He then ran along at a good tempo (first 1400m 1:26.59). He was challenged strongly at the 200m and he fought back gamely for a very good second, beaten three quarters of a length. It was a very good effort from the lightly raced four-year-old who was having only his tenth start. Junoob travelled well in sixth place, one off the rails. He moved up well wide from the 600m, going to third at the 200m. He then continued to fight gamely all the way to the post for a good third. Akzar was last in the ten-horse field to the home turn. He stuck to the rails on straightening, but was then held up for a run, not getting into the clear at the 100m. He then fought on well for fourth beaten two and quarter lengths, looking a little unlucky. Moriarty was seventh on the rails, got a split in the centre on turning for home and held on for fifth. Floria was fifth on the rails, got an inside run at the turn and she then battled on soundly for sixth while Mr O’Ceirin was fourth one out and one back, put in a run at the turn and then just fought on for seventh. *ANZ
