Savanna Amour is putting together a tidy record with now seven wins (five stakes) from 16 starts and had the race under control at the 100m. Rider Ben Melham found a nice spot in sixth, one off the fence past the 800m, moved up to be in behind the leading bunch just before the straight but was denied the split at the 300m. Space nearer the fence opened up at the 200m and Melham shot her through, grabbed the lead at the 100m and she had enough in the tank to hold on by a half length at the line. Missile Coda improved to be third at the 400m, coled inside the 300m and led at the 200m but was not able to match the winner despite eating into the lead late. A nice effort from Sony Legend who was locked away into the straight and didn't get clear until the 200m then ran on very well for a perhaps an unlucky third. From midfield, Too Good To Refuse ducked through along the inner for a distant fourth.
