Granny Red Shoes proved today that her super last-start win in the Oxlade Stakes (Listed, 1200m) on June 2nd was no fluke with another stunning last-to-first, effortless win here. Drawn the outside of eight she dropped right out early and settled three lengths last. Jockey Blake Shinn waited until the 600m before catching the field and the filly travelled smoothly around them to be widest but still five lengths off the pace turning for home where she received a minor bump. Once balanced, from the 300m to the 200m she cruised alongside the leader then raced clear to win as she liked with Shinn sitting quietly to the line for win three (second stakes) from eight starts. Soaring Heart sat one out and one back turning in and kept on fairly with no winning chance to nab a distant second at the line. Light Up The Room was second turning in and looked like holding her position until being nabbed at the post. Spending My Time was well back at the top of the straight and passed a few to battle into fourth.
