Consistent mare Detours bounded out of the barrier from her good draw (1) and led early, before being eased to get a good trip in fourth place on the rails. She took an inside run to challenge at the 200m and finished a little too well for a good half length win. Sharnee Rose was well away and eased to settle seventh on the rails. She enjoyed a good trip before improving on straightening to be in a challenging position, on the rails, at the 200m. She then fought on well for a good second. Dystopia went back from her barrier (8) and was second last in the 11-horse field to the 600m. She got a nice run through in the centre, after turning for home, switched out at the 200m and finished strongly, late for a good third. City Of Song was ninth one off the rails before switching out on straightening. She continued to run on nicely for a sound fourth, beaten only a length. Classics, stablemate of the winner, had a good trip fifth one off the rails before putting in a run at the 200m. She then kept fighting on for fifth, only a length from the winner, after having every chance. *ANZ
