Shiraz continued his progression through the classes, stepping up to win this Group Three race and remain unbeaten in three runs this preparation. Dual Group One winner Trust In A Gust raced in fifth place, just behind the leading group, but was under pressure from the 300m and then battled on for (5.5 lengths) seventh in the sprint home in a sound first-up run with his top weight (60kg).
