Don’t Doubt Mamma was ridden patiently and settled towards the tail of the field, about 12th and wide with cover. She improved rounding the home turn, cruised up at the 300m, dashed clear at the 150m and went on to win impressively. Lightly-raced filly Indarra ran a bold race for second. She raced in eighth place, one off the rails, switched out rounding the home turn, challenged strongly at the 200m and fought well for a good second, putting up a good effort at only her third race start. Denpurr was eased from her wide barrier (14) and settled near last in the 16-horse field and remained there until the home turn. She eased across heels at the 300m and ran on well to take a good third. Queen Of Wands was eased from barrier 15 and was second last at the home turn. She improved between runners on straightening and got a late split, making good ground for a promising (3.3 lengths) fourth.
