The Darren Weir-trained filly Jennifer Lynn is building an impressive record, advancing through the classes to take out this Listed race, her fourth win in five starts to date. She settled in last place in the 16-horse field from her difficult barrier (14), went widest of all at the home turn and then commenced a strong finishing run in the centre of the track to grab a last-stride win. Prompt Response began well from her wide barrier (12), raced in fifth place (wide, without cover), moved up nicely (wide) at the home turn, got to the front at the 200m and was only headed at the post for a game second after a difficult trip. Invincibella settled near last from her wide barrier (15) and improved along the rails nearing the home turn. She switched wide on straightening and then ran on in good style for a close-up third, her wide barrier proving costly. The favourite Sweet Sherry had a good trip in fourth place, looked dangerous at the 300m but faded over the closing stages to finish (4.7 lengths) 12th in a disappointing effort.
