Seven-year-old gelding Terravista resumed to score a very good first up win, his second at Group One level, both being achieved at this track. He travelled well back in seventh place in the nine-horse field between runners, got a split at the 100m and then came with a fast late run to grab a narrow but impressive win. Spieth raced in eighth place, towards the rails side and not too far behind the leaders. He got a split at the 100m, briefly hit the front at the 50m before finishing a close second in a bold first up run. Star Turn, who was resuming here, raced close to the leaders, went to the front at the 100m and then held on well for a close up third in a smart run. Flamberge was also close to the pace, challenged at the 100m and fought on well for (0.3 lengths) fourth. The favourite Flying Artie was a bit keen early on in fifth place (due to a steady early pace) and was then held up between runners to the 100m, his first up (2.3 lengths) seventh probably being best to be overlooked.
