Turbo Miss was slowly away from the gate before quickly improving her position to settle down in sixth position between horses. Poised to challenge on the back of the leaders on turning for home she disappointed for run and was held up searching for runs back towards the inside. Still not in the clear until inside the final 200m, where Craig Williams angled out into the clear, she picked up well hitting the front inside the final 100m and scoring a little cosily on the line. Rising Romance put in a great effort first up from a spell. She settled down in third last position one of the fence. Taken into the clear in the middle of the track in the straight she worked home well, really attacking the line for second. It has been a while since she has gotten her head in front but this was a pleasing first up run. Jalan Jalan had no luck in the run racing in third position three wide without cover on the lead. She worked hard throughout without cover and despite never being a winning chance in the straight she kept fighting the whole way to the line to grab third in the final stride. A good effort in defeat.
