Godolphin-raced filly Exhilarates boosted her prospects for next Saturday's Magic Millions 2YO Classic with an impressive win here. Wearing blinkers for the first time, she settled well for Kerrin McEvoy racing in fourth place (one out and one back) behind a solid tempo before moving up nicely on turning for home. She took the lead at the 100m and then went on to score comfortably by almost two lengths. Chris Wallertrained colt Lubuk, also racing in blinkers for the first time, raced in fifth place on the rails, angled into clear running at the 300m and kept running on well, without threatening the winner, for a good second at his second race start. The Odyssey raced outside the leader (Betaima), challenged on straightening and kept battling on well for third while the well-fancied Devine Factor missed the start, raced in second last place in the tenhorse field before finishing (6.4 lengths) eighth without looking a serious prospect at any stage.
