Kris Lees-trained colt Graff is really promising and now remains unbeaten after two starts. He again did not show much early pace, settling in fifth place in the seven-horse field and tracking a steady pace. He went three deep nearing the 600m but Kerrin McEvoy soon had him under riding as the tempo picked up and the colt remained under pressure until responding with a late surge to grab a good win. He looks a good colt that should appreciate further and a more genuine tempo. The Lindsay Park-trained colt Mickey Blue Eyes settled in last place, improved (wide with cover) at the 600m and also came with a strong late run for a very good second in an impressive debut, also looking suited to further. Godolphin-raced colt Stunts went to the front, steadied the pace and got a break on turning for home, only to be overhauled in the closing stages to finish third after running a bold race.
