I Love It was handily placed (three deep with a trail) in the early stages but was caught without cover in fourth spot from the 600m. She moved up well rounding the home turn, hit the lead at the 200m and then raced away to win impressively by almost four lengths in a smart first-up performance. Miss Middleton settled beyond midfield, got a run between horses at the home turn and came with a good late run to finish (3.8 lengths) second. Lady Lakshmi was sixth, between runners and was under riding coming to the home turn. She got through to third at the 200m and battled on to take the minor placing. Grand Gallop went to the front, ran along at a good pace and held the lead until passing the 400m before finishing (5.2 lengths) fourth after running a bold race.
