Step The Pedal, a stablemate of the winner, raced near the tail of the field, improved between runners nearing the home turn, got a split at the 200m and ran on nicely to take second. Gee Gees Top Notch raced in sixth place, between runners, got a split at the home turn, was in a challenging position at the 200m and battled on well for third.
