Fine Bubbles showed good early pace from her wide barrier (12) and then eased to get a good trip in sixth place with cover. She moved up nicely rounding the home turn, being held together before James McDonald asked her to sprint at the 200m. She then dashed clear and went on to score decisively to two lengths, putting up a good effort. I’m In The Money raced outside the leader (Angel Bee), challenged on straightening and kept fighting on for second, having no chance with the winner. Gold Epona was third on the rails to the turn and kept battling on to take third place after appearing to have every chance. Bouzy Rouge raced well back in the field (as usual) and was only in front of two runners in the 13-horse field at the 600m. She got a run through in the centre at the 300m, but was held up from the 200m and failed to get fully clear until a very late stage looking somewhat unlucky in finishing (three lengths) fourth.
