Mick Price-trained colt Congressional followed his third on debut in a Two-Year-Old Maiden (1100m) at Geelong on 15 July with a promising win here. He settled in fifth place on the rails, behind a good tempo, before improving between runners at the home turn. He got to third at the 200m, hit the front at the 100m and then went on to score comfortably.
