She’s Clean went back to last in the 13-horse field after starting from the outside barrier. She improved nicely along the rails rounding the home turn, being suited by a solid early pace (first 600m 35.03). She got through to second at the 200m and kept coming, gathering in the leader (Neeson) to grab a half length win at the post. Neeson raced three wide outside the leading pair (Zaratone & No Looking Back) before taking the lead on turning for home. He looked the winner when clear at the 200m and only tired in the closing stages for a good very second, beaten half a length after conceding the winner 5.5kg. Upshot was near last to the 600m, got a run through at the turn before switching out wide at the 400m. He then ran on quite well for third. Mic Mac was shuffled back to last at the home turn and kept running on fairly well in the straight for fourth, beaten three and a half lengths. *ANZ
