The favourite Almalad scored a facile three and a half length victory to remain undefeated after two runs. He jumped well and settled in third position three wide about a length and a half from the leaders. He cornered five wide and was nursed into the race. He responded well and accelerated impressively to hit the front at the 200m and then draw away to score with plenty in hand. A promising horse that should be followed. *ANZ
