Magic Hurricane completed a ‘red letter day’ for Godolphin and jockey James McDonald, making it five wins on the card by taking out this Group One race. Magic Hurricane settled particularly well in sixth place from his inside barrier (1), got a split between runners at the 300m, hit the front at the 200m and then went on to score a strong win after a perfect trip. Beaten Up was seventh, one off the rails, went wide nearing the home turn and kept plugging on gamely in the straight for a good second. The winner’s stablemate Havana Cooler was back in tenth place, got along the rails at the 200m and momentarily looked a threat before battling on for a good third. Orbec went to the front and set a good tempo to the home turn. He then held on quite well to finish fourth, beaten three lengths. Chance To Dance was a handy fourth most of the way and held on for (3.2 lengths) fifth while Bonfire raced outside the leader and kept battling on soundly to finish sixth, beaten four lengths.
