Sultry Feeling was away well from the gates and was taken forward to settle in second position on the quarters of Vergara. She quickly closed on the leader turning for home to challenge for the lead before taking over at the 250m. She fought off the challenge of Peeping to her outside and drew away to score a most determined victory. Peeping was away well from her wide draw and settled in third position one off the fence. She travelled well in the run before moving up ominously on straightening. She challenged for the lead at the 250m but died a little on her run, finding the winning a little the better on the day. She will undoubtedly come on for the run. Vergara was taken back to settle in second last position. Still second last on turning for home she was taken to the outside in the straight where she closed strongly late to grab third right on the line.
