Libran continues to race in good form and has now won his last three in succession. He settled nicely in fourth place behind a steady pace and he remained there to the 600m. He set out after the leaders nearing the home turn, got to third at the 200m and then finished well to grab a smart win. Alegria was fifth on the rails, got through to second nearing the home turn and challenged at the 200m. After briefly hitting the front at the 100m he then fought on for a good second. Cafe Society went to the front, steadied the pace and then dashed away nearing the 600m. He then kept fighting back really well when challenged at the 200m for a close-up third. Auvray was sixth and wide at the home turn and then kept battling on in the sprint home for fourth.
