White Sage ($3 fav) maintained her unbeaten record making it five wins from five starts with a dashing all-the-way victory. She began quickly from her outside barrier and soon crossed to the lead. She was then able to steady the pace, travelled well in front before dashing clear half-way down the straight. She then went on for a decisive two length win, sprinting home in a smart 34.24 for her final 600m. Second favourite, the in-form Terravista ($5) had an ideal trip behind the leader White Sage to the home turn. He put in a run at the 300m then kept fighting on to hold second, finding the winner too nippy. Alma’s Fury was fifth on the rails to the turn, got through to fourth at the 250m point and kept battling on to take the minor placing, beaten just under fourth lengths, while She’s Clean made ground from eighth at the turn to finish fourth. *ANZ
