Abduction was restrained from her wide barrier to settle last in a slowly run race. She got her head up and over raced in the middle stages before improving along the inside in a packed field. She travelled best on turning between horses, but was forced to switch across heels at the 300m coming to the outside and finished on impressively, under a confident hands and heels ride. A good effort considering the slow early pace and the trouble she had in the run. Candelara was good in defeat. Settling down in fourth position one out with a trail. She over raced a little in the middle stages before moving up three wide from the 600m. She hit the front momentarily at the 100m but could not hold off the late lunge of the winner on her outside. Muscovado had a soft run in the lead. She quickened up well in front and withstood the challenges to the 200m before battling on to hold third on the line.
