Queensland Oaks (Gr 1, 2200m) winner Winx scored an amazing first-up win. She settled near last in the 14-horse field, was shuffled back to a clear last (conceding he leaders about ten lengths) on straightening. She went deep at the 300m and then came from a seemingly impossible position to grab a brilliant last-stride win. She is a top class mare who looks to have more Group One wins in store.
