Pluck @ Vinery Mdn Hcp
The Godolphin-raced three-year-old Piracy followed his promising first up second in a 2YO Maiden (1000m) at Hawkesbury on 6 July with his first win in four starts here. He began well, settled nicely in fourth place on the rails, before getting through to challenge on straightening. He got to the front at the 100 metres and then held on gamely to score well, albeit in a photo. Chris Waller-trained colt Al Mah Haha settled near last in the seven-horse field, got along the rails at the home turn, challenged at the 100 metres and then battled on well for a close second in a nice effort at only his second race start.
