A big form reversal saw Tomorrowland win the Listed 1200m easily and record his sixth win from fifteen starts. The 5yo gelding had finished last in two of his three prior runs and a fourth the other outing. He remains unbeaten at Otaki having won here last November in a lesser grade. The usual leader or pace enforcer took a sit behind the leaders today and then after working off drove through two-off at the 300m before wresting the front at the 150m. Tomorrowland won by a length and a quarter and clocked 1:09.15 to beat a sound closing Silver Eclipse with The Bold One third. Silver Eclipse found the line well and is in for a good summer of sprinting while The Bold One had every possible chance. The leader Miss Appleton fought on for fourth while Stunning Princess ran a decent fifth considering she is just a four-win mare. Adventador was brave after being wide the whole way working near or on the pace. There were some flops with the favourite Natuzzi back and wide on settling and never ever getting into contention. He was not the only one that settled back and never got into the race with Barbaric and Slice Of Class two other failures. Tomorrowland now in form may hold it and if he can continue to take a sit then unleash that gives his racing pattern more dimension for the summer of sprinting ahead.
