The first two home in this Listed feature raced on or near the pace throughout and that tells the race pattern story at the line. Iffwedance after finding winning again hard for most of this season has come good with a vengeance and has now won his last two outings. Stamina seems to be the calling for the son of Iffraaj that has been consistently there or thereabouts in his career so may try and make the step up to Cup class next season. Sheezababe led up and refused to give in so her staying career from this point onwards is set in stone. She had just cleared maidens prior so the daughter of Zabeel out of the good stamina mare Honor Babe can only get better. Bajour ran on late for third after being midfield on the inner so the shortest route possible clearly helped his cause. The fourth horse home sat in the trail so the one runner apart from third that ran on with purpose against the race result pattern was Epineaux with the filly getting fifth and catching the eye. Andaluci came from the back late for seventh and he can come back a better and more experienced horse next season. Rasa Lila was a shade disappointing while Tipperary can be forgiven and included next time out. The winning time of 2:38.01 is nothing flash at all and the overall depth in this field is suspect with so much inexperience performing so well. The runner up and fifth finisher had just won their maiden events coming into this and handled Listed class with aplomb. There will however be several stayers to fill fields for the next season at least and the only 3yos in the race finished fifth (Epineaux a filly) and seventh (Andaluci a gelding).
