The winner of this G1 1600m was the odds on filly Travelling Light that raced in the rear couple of a six horse field and turned for home in fourth before being angled out and reaching the front 100m from home. The winners and where they turned for home in race order were second (two-off the inside and half a length from the leader), seventh (on the fence and four lengths from the leader), led (a head clear and on the fence), second (one-off the inside and a length from the leader), fifth (on the inside and a length away), led (on the inside and six lengths clear), fourth (on the inside and two and a lengths from the leader), twelfth (seven-off the inside and six lengths from the leader) and fifth (six-off the inside and four lengths from the leader). She won by over a length and was superior at the line adding as soft a G1 kill as you will see in a very sedate 1:36.91. It was her fifth win in six starts and she is yet to miss the top three. Harlech trailed on the inner and fought well but did have every chance. Third home and almost four lengths from the winner was Riodini that settled last the outer along with the winner then ran on well down the outer. Our Creed was a length and a half behind it at the line in fourth spot after leading up and being headed at the 300m and weakening. Fifth home was Marscapone that raced fourth the outer then third and was battling a fair way out. Last home was Callsign Mav that had ended up sitting second the outer and dropped away to be beaten almost seven lengths This was as tepid a G1 as seen all season and the three best horses on ability ran the top trio at the finish.
