Morphettville Race 2 Number 11 EXTREMELY LUCKY - Win ($1.70, Ladbrokes)
This gelding has returned in great order and looks primed for another big run on Saturday. He was anything but his namesake a fortnight ago in the Group 2 Tobin Bronze. Held up for a majority of the straight, the promising three-year-old only found clear running in the final 100m where he mustered good momentum to attack the line. He drops back to BM72 grade this time and receives the service of J. Kah. He'll get back from the draw and be saved for the final shot at them – we see him being far too good for this lot.
Rosehill Race 7 Number 3 ALEAS - Place ($1.95)
The British import broke through for his first win in Australia, winning claiming the Wagga Gold Cup at Listed level last time out. This is more of a step sideways rather than a step up, he'll handle the wet going and he's drawn to receive every chance in running. We're expecting him to find the frame at what we believe is a good price.
Morphettville Race 7 Number 7 DALASAN - Win ($3.10)
He's been close on so many occasions, but this race sets up perfectly for a horse of Dalasan's calibre. The entire hasn't won since Anzac Day 2020, but we all know his CV reads much better than that. He drops back to Group 3 level after a stellar effort in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth behind Think It Over and Zaaki. Not only is this an easier race, he finds himself carrying just 55kg, in what shapes as the perfect race for the five-year-old. One thing is for sure, we know he'll give his all, but we're also confident he'll break the drought and bring up his first win for 756 days.
