THE STARS

TIM MARTIN: He may have refined his stable numbers but his Rosehill double proves he is still among the most talented trainers in Sydney.

MICHAEL KENT/SUPIDO: One of Melbourne’s most astute trainers had this classy sprinter primed for a wining return. Didn’t let him down at short odds.

GERALD RYAN/WASHINGTON HEIGHTS: Takes skill to have a horse ready to win first-up after 412 days since he last raced in Hong Kong. Has the talent to be a Group horse if he stays sound.

MELISSA JULIUS: Another young lass chalks up her first Saturday metropolitan winner at Caulfield.

BRANDON STOCKDALE: Has been getting plenty of kudos recently but his indecisive ride on Revolving Door at Caulfield goes on the black list. Simply gave the favoured runner no chance.

DWAYNE DUNN: Copped a suspension for causing chaos in race four at Caulfield on the winner Windbern. Amazingly there were no protests but the rules in any other country would have seen him relegated from first.

SHIRAZ: Lacking the obvious will to win. Warning issued over his racing manners after he tried to bite a rival in the drive to the line.

DATA POINT: Doubt he will be starting favourite in city class again.

LORD OF THE SKY: Comeback could be short lived.

BLACKBOOK

KIWIA: Ugly watch for his backers over the last 400m.

MARIQUiTA: Good lead into something longer in right class.

CALCULATED: Don’t sell him short. Will win good races.

IT'S SO OBVIOUS: Faced big jump from maiden class. Unlucky and did it well.

SAXTON ROCK: Nice prospect for Brisbane classes next season.

CHAMOIS ROAD: Forgive run. Certain to appreciate switch to senior rider.
