Previously Listed placed (twice) Siren's Fury broke through for her maiden black type win and fifth overall after being given a lovely ride by Tegan Harrison. She settled a handy fourth soon after the start and Harrison had her travelling kindly, saving ground all the way to the top of the straight. The leader drifted out leaving bags of room for her to shoot through and she gradually picked up the leaders, levelled up inside the 100m then edged clear by a half length for a good win. Schism led them to the turn, drifted away from the fence but clung to the lead to the 100m then held on gamely. Ghisoni sat outside the leader into the straight, co led at the 100m but couldn't improve after that yet not far away in third. From a handy fifth Slow Burn almost got on terms with the leaders at the 100m then lost third by a head in the last stride.
