Pleasuring was given the run of the race and took full advantage to score her fourth win and third stakes win from 12 starts adding to a stakes double in Tasmania in February. She was handy early then fourth past the 1800m and down the back. Past the 1000m rider Damian Lane kept her in fourth to the 400m where he switched her to the inner and they had a great sight, one out, turning for home. She ran up to co lead at the 200m, put her head in front soon after and outstayed them, getting home by a length at the post. Earth Angel moved wide to be handy turning in then ran on well without looking like overhauling the winner for a good second. Teodora led them in, fought the winner to the 100m then held on bravely for third from So You Leica who, with every chance, battled away for a close fourth. The first four were clear of the rest.
