Irish-bred gelding Camdus took his record to eight wins from 22 starts in recording his first stakes victory here. He settled in sixth place, behind a slow early tempo (first 600m 38.96), before angling deeper to make his move at the 300m. He then sprinted quickly, hit the front at the 50m and held on to score in a photo. Just Hifalutin raced in seventh place, tracking the eventual winner, also sprinted from the 300m and came with a late burst for second, failing by a half-head. Hellova Street was handily placed in third spot, challenged at the 100m and battled gamely under his 60kg top weight for third.
