Consistent Chris Waller-trained mare Invincibella has now raced 30 times for eight wins and 11 placings after taking out this Group 2 race, her third win at that level. She settled nicely in eighth place, one off the rails, angled into clear running at the 300m, raced to the front coming to the 100m and then drew away to win easily. Savatiano raced in fifth place (between runners), was blocked on turning for home, finally eased clear at the 150m and came with a late run to take second, looking unlucky. The $101 outsider Mamzelle Tess raced in sixth place (wide with cover), challenged at the 300m and kept fighting on well to take the minor placing. Tulip raced in third place on the rails, got a run on the inner to briefly take the lead at the 200m and then battle on for (2.8 lengths) fourth.
