Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on November 1.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Gosford, Sapphire Coast, Geelong and Bunbury.
Sapphire Coast: Race 3 @ 3:05pm
Whispered Prayer can boot up with Athonis coming across. ATHONIS is super genuine. Led them up and was only grabbed late in a fast run mile at Wagga most recently. Brings superior form here and will get every chance up on the pace. WHISPERED PRAYER gets back to her favoured track and has finally drawn a barrier. Beaten comfortably by Grasp at Moruya last start but can turn the tables here with a softer run. GRASP can do things wrong but has claims with winning form. Monitor parade/betting with him.SELECTIONS: Athonis is the class runner.
Gosford: Race 4 @ 3:20pm
Chiang Mai Express should roll to the lead. TANIKO showed enough promise last time in. Competitive in BM75 at Canterbury when last sighted. Stable have her set to fly today off an impressive 2L trial victory. No doubt full of confidence from that and she can easily acquit that to race conditions. Avdulla remains the only jockey to be on her back so make of that what you will. CHALK found the line well behind Esperance in town on resumption. Needs a win but back in grade and drawing pole should help. Weight is the concern. CHIANG MAI EXPRESS clearly has ability. Beaten favourite first-up but does strip fitter. Untapped. SELECTIONS: Taniko for the win.
Geelong: Race 5 @ 3:30pm
JUDY IN DISGUISE runs along and showed plenty the first campaign. Was last seen in Group grade and expect her to be ready to go and take beating. DIAMOND BLISS debuts for the Freedman yard and own a trial win. Gets the rail and keep very safe. DALMATIA is well-bred and profiles well for the debut as does RAFFINE. SELECTIONS: # 4 Judy In Disguise should be ready off the long break.
Bunbury: Race 8 @ 8:37pm
BON VOYAGE was heavily-backed FU and things didn’t work out. Has won a trial since and expect sharp improvement with Pike hanging around to ride. SNOW BLOSSOM was slow off and did a big job to miss FU. Finds a bit easier and has more to give. PUCK SHAPESHIFTER resumes and will use the low gate. Has trialled well and a bold run won’t surprise. RAMRUEY resumes and has shown enough to give him a chance. SELECTIONS: Competitive, but fancy # 8 Bon Voyage with the top hoop sticking.
