The Robbie Griffiths-trained mare Divine Quality staged a very smart first-up effort in winning here. She settled in last place in the 16-horse field, tracking a quick tempo before switching deeper to make her bid on reaching the 600m. She the sprinted quickly to hit the front at the 100m and then went on to score impressively by just over three lengths and in quick time. Booker also raced back in the field and was tenth at the 800m before improving (in the centre of the track) coming to the 300m. She then kept fighting on well under her top weight (59kg) for second in a good performance. I Am Excited settled a bit closer than expected and was seventh, not far off the leaders at the 300m. She was under riding shortly afterwards, briefly looked a threat coming to the 100m before fighting on for third just in advance of Quilista who had raced close to the leaders in fifth place before holding on well for (3.9 lengths) fourth.
