Champion mare Winx is the opening favourite at $1.25 to win the 2019 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on April 13 for the third successive year.
The TAB market has Caulfield Guineas winner and stablemate The Autumn Sun at $8.
“Winx was $1.24 for this year’s Queen Elizabeth Stakes which she won by almost four lengths but was even shorter at $1.12 when victorious in 2017 by over five lengths,” TAB’s Gerard Middleton said.TAB has opened markets for six of the Group 1’s during The Championships in 2019.
The Autumn Sun has been installed as $4.50 favourite for the 2019 Doncaster Mile at Randwick on April 6.Dual Everest winner Redzel is the $6 favourite for the T.J. Smith Stakes ahead of this year’s winner Trapeze Artist ($8).
Finche and Youngstar, who finished fourth and sixth respectively in this year’s Melbourne Cup, have opened $8 equal favourites for the Sydney Cup.TAB has also provided a market for The Everest in 2019 with Redzel favourite at $6 to win the world’s richest race on turf for the third straight year.
