Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for January 7.
Moruya: Race 4 @ 2:50pm
FRANCISCO PIZARO produced a good effort on debut at Wagga when runner-up. Given time off to mature and judging by his recent trial appears to be back on track. In-form rider takes the steer and he looks the testing material. EUROSAY was honest last time in. First-up here and should get a lovely run from the draw. FARAGE was never going to threaten from the wide draw here on debut. Closing splits were good and he appears an improver. SELECTIONS: #3 Francisco Pizaro for the win from #2 and #5.
Speed right across the track. DREAMY BELLE is primed to strike third-up. Gave a good kick at Newcastle last start when runner-up. 1000m suits and despite the weight she holds all the class. Should be winning. FAIR DINKUM was handy early doors but has gone off the boil a touch. Luke Rolls knows the horse and he can improve sharply without shock. PLECTRUM was in need of the run first-up. Senior rider goes aboard and he has good form over the trip. Next best. SELECTIONS: #1 Dreamy Belle for the win from #7 and #4.
Stawell: Race 8 @ 5.00pm
VALSE has been well held last couple but can improve sharply here. Big class drop and can bounce back. UNIVERSAL THIEF led and faded latest in a run below best but previous form good and should give a huge sight here. ANNANICOLESNITZ is fitter and from a low draw should enjoy a nice run. MARY'S PRIDE has placed in both runs this campaign and rates an each way chance. SELECTIONS: #11 Valse can improve sharply. Backing to win from #5 and #3.
