Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on January 8.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Cessnock, Orange, Yarra Valley & Gatton.
Orange: Race 7 @ 5:30pm
LARYNX is entered for race 3 on the car but looks hard to beat if line up in this one. Has been in good form thus campaign including a maiden win two back then placing here this class latest. Drawn for a soft run and will be winding up strongly over the slightly shorter trip. BUSH RAMBLER placed on debut when slowly away but got home hard. Racing out of grade but has upside, has the light weight, has the inside draw and also has Ryan. Can measure up. ELECTRIFIED resumed with a solid fourth and was a half length off Bush Rambler in the same race she made her debut. Up in class but fitter and can improve sharply here. ELLEBEEDEE wasn't far away this grade fresh and is drawn for a good run. FLEETING PRINCESS can sneak into the finish at odds if she finds her best ratings. SELECTIONS: Larynx hard to beat if lining up here.

Yarra Valley: Race 6 @ 4:00pm
After winning maiden last time EXTREME TORQUE can go on with it. Hit the line well over this journey here and from a perfect draw is expected to go on with it. REX BELL has been thereabouts and rates well on best form. Just needs to find it but the inside gate helps. STORNAWAY and PUBLICAN'S CHOICE rate among the winning hopes. SELECTIONS: Extreme Torque looks a top chance.
Cessnock: Race 5 @ 4:25pm (AEDT)
HIEMAL is fitter for two runs back and this sets up nicely for him. Was wide throughout latest and kept coming to finish a length from the winner but drawn the inside here and should be afforded a cheap run. Expected to go close. SONO DOLCE has raced twice and hasn't been far away. Has a nice weight here and should progress again. Will be winding up strongly. EQUISETA got home hard to place over 1250m and is suited by the longer journey. Fitter again and rates among the chances. FRESH START was sound fresh and has upside. CHOUXTORIAL is better than last start and rates strongly on best figures. SELECTIONS: Hiemal is ready to win and has the inside.
