Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on January 15.
Two TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Gunnedah & Mackay.
Gunnedah: Race 7 @ 4:55pm
THERMOSA is a very promising gelding with 3/4 wins so far. Took over before the turn and won with ease five weeks ago over 1110m at Dubbo. Steps up to this distance for the first time and has 62kgs to contend with but his ratings continue to soar at each outing so stick with him. DUBLE GAZE looks a threat after making significant late inroads to finish 5th over 1100m at Armidale when resuming from a spell last start. Races well at this circuit and with added fitness today he looks perfectly placed up to this trip. RED LIBERTY got too far back at Inverell last time out and never laid a glove on his opponents. Might settle a fraction closer today and with G Ryan taking over must be considered.SELECTIONS: #1 Thermosa a bit short in early markets so stand him out with #3 and #4 in exactas.

Mackay: Race 7 @ 6.35pm
STRONG WILL continued her improvement this prep with a dogged all-the-way win over this course and distance at her third run back from a spell. Draws perfectly and a shrewd claim brings her in nicely in this easier race. Looks the winner again. ARCHIE'S SON missed by the barest margin last time out over 1200m at Emerald as short-priced favourite. Ran 3rd over this course and distance the run before when he led. Consistent gelding with strong each-way claims from a favourable draw. DEVIOUS was an even effort to finish a close 4th over 1100m here recently. Might be looking for the extra furlong now. SELECTIONS: #7 Solera looks promising. Back accordingly from #8 and #4.
