Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on February 14.
Six TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Thursday at Wagga, Pakenham, Warrnambool, Rockhampton, Bunbury & Kingscote.
Wagga: Race 3 @ 2:00pm
SPINHER has attacked the line strongly in both runs this time in work. Settled midfield last start over 1200m at this track before letting down impressively over the final furlong to get up for 2nd. Progressive filly ready to go one better today with winkers on for the first time. SUPALUX contested the same race as Spinher here last time, getting back to next to last in the big field before working home solidly to finish 5th. There was less than a length between them on that occasion so over an extra 100m today the tables could easily be turned. MOSS THE BOSS showed glimpses of ability last prep. Resumes today with blinkers on so is certainly one to monitor carefully in the betting. SELECTIONS: xpecting #6 Spinher to win.

Kingscote: Race 3 @ 2:25pm
MUM'S MY HERO led on debut at Gawler and was much too good for the Maidens. Will make his own luck and despite being up in grade, the competition will need to be on song to beat him a round here. STOLEN TIME is a former Victorian now in the Frew yard. She’s placed twice FU and can win at best. SNIP OF MAGIC won the 54 here FU as expected and gets the chance to build on that. PORT OF TRIANO hasn’t won for a long while but resumes with Tourneur booked. The market suggests he’ll go well. SELECTIONS: At the $4.40 # 2 Mum’s My Hero appeals.
Warrnambool: Race 6 @ 5:15pm
Like the chances of RYAN'S FENDER here. Better than last start but given a let up and gelded since so worth another chance here fresh. MAI SHINY CHOICE looks the main danger. Overdue for a win and big chance here at home. EVANESCE is also at home and worth keeping safe. Hurdler resuming but has plenty of ability and wouldn't shock to get into the minors in this. DENOMINATOR is a last start winner who must be included. Will go forward and take catching. PURE REBEL rates next best. SELECTIONS: Ryan's Fender can improve sharply a gelding. Mai Shiny Choice is fit and overdue.
Pakenham: Race 7 @ 9:00pm
MOUNT KILCOY was wide and not far away when sixth fresh in a tougher race. Fitter and expected to go close here. MAIN STAGE resumes in far easier grade after contesting the SA Derby before a break. Did have excellent form around this trip in Group class earlier in the campaign though and rates strongly here as you'd expect. BURGONET is racing well and despite the wide draw will take catching. SIMPLY INVINCIBLE was runner up fresh and has upside. SPIRIT OR LAGER is close to breaking through and drawn for a good run here. SELECTIONS: Mount Kilcoy rates well and should go close. Watch Main Stage fresh.
