Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays for Australian TAB meetings on February 26.
Four TAB meetings are held across Australia on this Tuesday at Bathurst, Tamworth, Bendigo & Cairns.
Bathurst: Race 4 @ 4:05pm
TA CHANSON found the lead before the corner and looked home until collared close to the line over 1200m at Newcastle last start. Will appreciate the slightly shorter trip here and if he crosses without using too much fuel will be very hard to catch. Stablemate BAAED has not raced since finishing just behind the placegetters over 1208m here in September. Finished 3rd as favourite over this distance at Hawkesbury on debut the run before - only needs to recapture that sort of form to be a major player. PARTY GLOW went to the lead in a change of tactics recently over 1150m at Cessnock but found one better in the closing stages. That run came off a 31-day break so strips fitter here and can play a role. CALL ME TRINITY has now placed 5/7 and is a must for exotics punters. SELECTIONS: #12 Ta Chanson one of the better bets on the card.

Tamworth: Race 2 @ 2:25pm
SMART MOOVE went close on debut at Gunnedah then sat behind the leading pair and looked to have every chance when a very close 3rd over 1120m at Dubbo last start. The slight increase in distance suits - she looks poised to break through in a fairly shallow maiden. VISIBLY has her first start for Brett Cavanough today after starting her career under DK Weir. Has not raced since struggling over 1300m at Ararat 39 days ago. Capable of sharp improvement while fresh with blinkers going on. Another Cavanough runner in LOVING HEART showed pace last start and is certainly one for the multis. SELECTIONS: Confident win bet #9 Smart Moove.
Bendigo: Race 7 @ 4:30pm
UPTOWN LILLY (8) was runner up in slightly easier grade last time. Trip suits and drawn for a soft run. In form rider goes aboard and will go close. ELMORE LAD (1) is better than last start and will find this easier. Can improve sharply. KEYMASTER (2) next best on ratings. BOORADLEY (7) can sneak into the finish. SELECTIONS: Uptown Lilly drawn for the perfect trail.
Cairns: Race 6 @ 6:27pm
HOT SHOT HARRY (3) missed a nose FU on the heavy and his dry ratings are better. Gets the weight drop and is a real trier who just needs a good ride from Pawsey to repeat the dose. HE'S BLESSED (6) resumes and brings a string of placings. Will get every chance from the low draw and the stable is firing. RED CENTRE (1) resumes and is sharp FU. Gets the sweet gate and is also a live chance. LANSALA is a former Matt Dale galloper back after 39 days for the new yard. Has ability but was slow to recover when disappointing the last two. The market will tell with him. SELECTIONS: #3 Hot Shot Harry enjoys the course and distance and will give more second-up.
