Honest La Tene has now two wins and three placings from five starts and made her first attempt at stakes class a winning one. She began well to sit second, just back of the lead early, maintaining that position, one out, from the 800m to the top of the straight. The leader shot away but she gradually hauled him in with a long, steady run, edged into the lead at the 50m and held them all by a neck when it mattered. Dalasan was third last (three out) at the 800m and still third last at the top of the straight then, greenly, charged home down the outer to land second very late. Fling led them in, shot clear at the 300m and was caught at the 50m yet fought hard for a game third from Really Discreet who from back of midfield found room between runners after being checked at the 300m then ran on well to grab fourth.
