Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained colt Global Exchange is building an imposing record, now being the winner of four of six starts, his last two at Group 2 level. He settled in third last place in the 12-horse field from his outside barrier, improved (deep) from the 600m and kept running on strongly to grab a last stride victory in an impressive effort. Declarationofheart raced in sixth place, one off the rails, moved up (wide) from the 600m, challenged (wide out) at the home turn and kept fighting gamely for a close second. Godolphin's Cossetot raced in fifth place, one off the rails, improved well to take the lead entering the straight and battled very well for a close up third. Stars Of Carrum raced in second last place, improved (between runners) coming to the home turn, switched out on straightening and ran on well for fourth in a promising effort, advancing in distance here.
