Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for March 18.

Scone: Race 2 @ 2:20pm

GALINA (11) placed 6/11 under the Snowdens then transferred to the Brett Cavanough stable last start. Settled in the back half of the field on that occasion at Tamworth only to be caught in the backwash of a multi-horse fall, easing out of the contest. Was beaten under a length in town earlier this prep - looks a winning chance on that form. TOMBOLO (8) has not raced since finishing runner-up on debut over 1100m at this circuit on 26 October, making up good late ground. Trialled well recently and from the inside gate over an extra furlong today can run a big race. KENNYWYN (2) has only drawn a decent gate twice in his last five runs, and placed both times including once at this course and distance. Gets a nice run in transit today and has to be respected. ARMINA (9) was a better run here last time and is worth including in exotics. SELECTIONS: #11 Galina to prove too classy for this lineup.

Queanbeyan: Race 5 @ 3.50pm

GREYFELL (4) had a 52-day let-up before failing over 1700m at Cowra last time out. Won a BM60 over this distance at Canberra in late December - that form stacks up very well here. Fitter today and with a couple of key contenders scratched he certainly looks the one to beat. SHE EXCITES (10) worked home well at the end of a mile at Nowra recently without threatening. Ready to show something third up. The veteran HAPPY PARTNER (7) has not won for more than four years but can fill a minor placing without surprising. SELECTIONS: Pretty happy to be in the #4 Greyfell camp.
