Brilliant three-year-old filly Sunlight recorded her third Group 1 success with another wonderful performance, her tenth win (four placings) from 15 starts. She was quickly away and after working to find the lead, she travelled well, raced clear on turning for home and then held on strongly for a very good win. Spright settled back in second last place in the nine-horse field, tracking a quick tempo, improved behind runners at the home turn, switched out halfway down the straight and ran on really well for second. Ellicazoom settled in seventh place on the rails from her inside barrier (1), got between runners at the home turn, went to second at the 150m and then fought well for third. Dothraki raced in fifth place, one off the rails, put in a bid on straightening and kept battling on nicely for (1.9 lengths) fourth, just in front of Fell Swoop who held on for (2 lengths) fifth after racing close to the pace (but deep) while Written By attempted to hold the lead from the winner, settled in second place but tired over the latter stages for (3.2 lengths) sixth.
